No Front Teeth Video Premieres

Ride BMX Magazine has organised a bunch of skatepark and bar premieres of the new video No Front Teeth to coincide with its release at the beginning of July– and there’s probably one near you. The general idea is to session the parks during the day, then chill and watch the video in the evening.

What's this, photos?

A new scanner = photos again. There are now some photos from the Snickers Soul Bowl added to the gallery. There would of been more but for some reason during qualifying and the finals, the only photographer allowed on deck was Ricky from Dig.

Still photos from the Redbull 3 degrees event, King of Street and whatever else is kicking around to scan in.

Decoy News
Got a bit of news from Toby down in Decoy:
"the trails sitch is looking promising, the council have taken a deeper look into things and realised that making the area safer doesnt necessarily mean plow it, i.e? get better earth in from further away with less rocks etc. it looks like we will have to start a trails club comitee with the main users(rider) us running a sort of club thing, just keeping an eye on the place, although it will still be open to the public, but this is the easiest way to gain funding, so it is looking up a little bit. ah yeh i went to weymouth skatepark last night, and saw luke merchants little brother also pretty rad for a wee nipper, anyway luke broke his arm when he crashed at the red bull thing, it sucks i know but thught you could need some news for the web. kye is hungary at the mo, but no one turned up to pick hime up from the airport, and when he goes to collect his baggage, there is none, wicked no meetings and greetings and no shizzle, we have been trying to mail and ring him but to no avail."

TWOAND8 Worcester Jam Update
Just a bit of news on the Jam from Eggy at the park. He's sorted out some bands already, they are purple ink, somewhere in between and vendetta. They're all local, loud and rock/punk. He's also spoken to shiners and hot wheels and both are sending a load of prizes for the jam!

Redbull 3 Degress

The Redbull 3 Degrees event in Cardiff last weekend turned out real good. The course was a big improvement on last year and the riding was real good. Jay Miron took the win, 360 double tailwhips, why not?

Seeing Garrett Burns ride was definately the highlight, the jumpbox wasn't as ridiculous as last year but I reckon he was going higher. No T-shirt, helmet un-done, crusing around.

1st Jay Miron
2nd Gary Young
3rd Tobias Wicke
4th John Heaton
5th Hanno Cools
6th Mike Escamilla
7th Bas Keep
8th Garratt Byrnes
9th Corey Martinez
10th Senad Grosic
11th Ben Hennon
12th Luke Marchant

TWOAND8 Jam 2004 – Worcester

The TWOAND8 Jam is back again this year at Worcester Ramps on Saturday August 21st. The Jam will also be celebrating the skateparks 10th anniversary and will follow the same kind of formula as last year ie no real plan.

There should be about five bands playing this year, plus dj’s, BBQ and plenty of give aways. Just turn up, ride and head out into Worcester afterwards for plenty of drinking and debauchery. See Graeme Hardie for more details on this one.

The park will also be open on the Sunday if anyone is up for more post Jam riding.

VINTAGE BMX

If like me you're a bit of a sucker for anything to do with old school BMX then the site link here is a must see.

I have absolutely no interest in spending a fortune on a pair of original DX's or sourcing a pair of NOS Graphites for that matter. But if you have a slight interest in looking at the pieces of shit we used to call BMX's then take a look.

Decoy Trails Need Your Help

Just had a call from Rik Forte and it seems that the local Council want to bulldoze the famous Decoy trails because they are not ROSPA compliant. Please give your support to these trails by phoning Barry Gedden @ Teignbridge Council on 01626 361101 as he seems the only guy there who has any sense. Explain how important these trails are to the local riders who use them all year round and the work that has gone into them over the years, it also provides a safe place for local youth to hang out and get involved in something positive rather than hang around the town bored or vandalising anything in their wake..Also how riders from all over the country come to the decoy trails as well.

Spread the word and leave a message of support here and we can show the council how much support there is for Decoy Trails.

Stop this madness..
The trail riders have already been on to local papers, BMX mags, MP, council and TV and so all support will add weight to the cause. Local paper and MP email address below

Decoy Trails

Decoy trails have been fenced off by the council. Are they to be flattened too? Hopefully not but check Graemes post on www.prettyshady.com to read more.

Gravesend Skatepark
There's a new skatepark at Cascades leisure centre in Gravesend, built by Kev Garwood and Aaron Bostrom. It's got a 12ft wide box with a nice curved landing, super tight fun mini with a 4ft flat bottom. 6ft quarter to wallride, nice flat bank, driveway/grindbox and a huge quarter the whole width of the skatepark with a real steep flat band in the middle and it's got a 6ft deck so all the deck moneys are outta the way.

There'll be more if the skatepark lasts for a while, coz it was all burned down on the second day of building, but nothings been touched for the last week or so...

Taj Interview
A friend of mine, Greg Short, is over in Austin for 3 months and has decided to put together an interview with Taj. If anyone has any questions or something they have always wanted to ask him, email them to xshortx@hotmail.com and he'll use the best / funniest etc.
