Simpel Session goes live again in Estonia

SimpelSession Winter Bash 2005
January 8-9, Tallinn Estonia

Press release

What’s up fellas! The Session is back with another Winter Bash coming through to you on January 8-9, 2005. As usual the Bash takes place at the Saku Suurhall Arena in Tallinn, Estonia. We have a wicked program set up and this time it is going to be even bigger and better, since it is the Session's 5th birthday.

We shall expect more than 10,000 spectators to come check us out which makes the Bash the biggest of it's kind in the Baltic States. BMX and Skateboard Street contests set aside, we'll introduce Skateboard Vert dicipline and BMX vert demo and for the contestants - they're gonna like this - we have a 12,000 Euro prize purse up for grabs.

Add to the mix some funky music, friendly atmosphere, retail booths with games and some nifty gadgets, already notorious afterparties and you got yourself an event you don't want to miss.

Here is the latest update info on the Braun Front Brake Revolution Jam 10/11/12September 2004. We are presently working on ramp developments at Rob Ridge’s Warehouse in Bridport,UK. Ride BMX Magazine are kindly supporting this ramp update and financing new obstacles and resurfacing especially for the Jam. New additions should include:subrail/subbox, wedge ramp, tech quarter pipe, wide flatbank – sub with deckless kicker ramp in the middle. The awesome volcano ramp is being touched up with a solidwooden deck and the whole course will be repainted ready for the event. Ride are also building a replica of Rob Ridge’s volcano ramp to be added to theWeymouth street course on Friday 10th and Saturday 11th September. Riders will have the advantage of sessioning an identical ramp in both locations.

Knowl Hill Trails Jam

Some photos added from the weekends trails jam down at George Salmonds. Joined the media frenzy, people everywhere taking photos, even lights and a generator down there.

Galleries > Knowhill Trails Jam

What better thing to do after a session at the trails? Well it's got to be a spot of dogging. Just ask Stu Clarke, twice in one week and he's even introduced Kye and Leo to it now. It's all the rage.

Stuff

It's been way to long since I last wrote something for this page, I've not been particularly busy or anything - just pretty slack and for once the loose lips were sealed.

First off a get well soon to Ste Byrnes of Cannock. Ste otherwise known as WBS managed to shatter a vertebra in his neck by being driven into a wall at 110 mph! Turns out some kid he didn't really know took him for a drive in his 106 GTI to prove how quick it was, Ste saw 110 on the clock, felt a curb, then the wall of a house. The driver was killed instantly and Ste heard the house owner on the phone to the ambulance saying they were both dead! Needless to say Ste is still alive apart from being a little pissed because he had some parts he ordered from Empire turn up and he can't do anything with them for the time being, His necks probably a little bit shorter than it once was and finally he doesn't remember a thing about the flight in the air ambulance.

The third annual Custard Jam is to be held at the Custard factory, Birmingham over the August bank holiday weekend. Organised by www.202426.com it's normally a afternoon / evening / night of riding in the drained pool, drinking, music and beats - The Scratch Perverts are playing this year. For more info contact dan@202426.com

No Front Teeth
By now you've probably heard of the latest film produced by Alex Rankin for Ride UK, following on from Cassette last year it fills a similar role. Loads of Backyard footage from all the 2003 jams and Bournemouth 2004. Kye and Leo get a good ghetto section. Loads of extras, good length (?). The only thing which let it down for me was some of the music - I have against Phil Dolan or Aphex Twin, but in my mind the two don't really mix that well, imagine Osama Bin Laden in MacD's buying a burger.

Just wanted to say a quick hello to Phil McFadden of www.alliancebikeco.com who I met at Epic some time ago. If Robin or Ali ever read this then he sends his apologies for not getting in touch while he was over here.

BlackBMX Jam

Blackbmx is have a bike jam at Racliffe skatepark on sunday 29th august. No contest, no fee, just turn up and ride with everybody. Hopefully there will be a BBQ there which will help to raise money for ramp maintenance.
