Westerly-Weather

What a strange day this was. When i began sussing out the riding vs weather situation i stared taking photos of tempestuous sky's. It'd been blowing a gale for a couple of days but it looked drier than the day before so when Matt called me to go out riding in west London i got myself together and took the train up to waterloo where i met up with George and we made our way to Stockwell to meet up with Matt and a bunch of Mancunians and Chester heads.
We all pedaled our way over West through Clapham striaght to the infamous estate that the Northan dudes had tried to session the day before in the rain. It did'nt take long for it to start up again but it was so windy any showers were breif and the wind with the sporadic sunshine dreid the concrete enoughto keep riding. I crashed as soon as we got there but whats new there so mainly milled around watching th others nibble around on the small rails littering the small area we're sessioning. Someone was over icepick grinding up a long low rail and then hopping back over ,I think the guy's name is Loz ,anyway he then feebled up the same 2" wide round rail and over. Lots of little jibs were going on and then we headed over to Wandsworth roundabout where everyone seemed to be able to peg the walls. Someone even icepicked it a couple of times, then whipped the really awkward steep bit of the bank a few times tearing the internals of his freewheel apart in the process, which did'nt seem to phaze him too much. Loz got a sweet 5 on the bank, Burney (i think is the guy who's face i think i recognize from somewhere) did a really nice sprocket to 180 on the wall and then had the most violent crash just as we were about to leave. There was a peice of pretty sodden peice of mdf at the bottom of one of the steeper bits of the bank and one time his wheel spat out from under him sending him head and sholders into the face of the concrete bank...nasty. He picked himself up and his mates got him all patched up and we went on our way back to southbank to meet up with James from Charharrt who they were all staying with. We stopped a couple of times to ride fresh marble or just to look at stuff. When we got to southbank everyone was cold and stiff but i felt like riding a bit and so did everyone else in the end. Mr drinkwater (did my resarch) twisted the 7 a few time dispite having to scoot up them to get speed loz did a fewwhip hops!, Owen and a few of the others were on their front wheels most of the time nosemanualing up the sloped ledge thats there!, and i think i spotted Phil Dolan obviously out doing them all with that front wheel balancing stuff. Good day and nice people dispite the weather!. Cheers guys see you next time.
