Odyssey bmx summer comp in Portugal 

I just recived this press release about a comp being held in portugal sounds pretty nice, were gonna be road tripping to spin so maybe a detour to this comp might be worthwhile. Chase the sun.

Press Realease Odyssey Bmx Summer Comp 2005 ;
Portimão- PORTUGALWe are divulging by this way that "Clube Bicross de Portimão" will organize for the second year the "Odyssey BmxSummerComp 2005". The Comp. will be on 09-10-11-September In Portimão-Portugal, located atthe sameplace at the Bmx worlds 98". The Odyssey Bmxsummercomp is a new kind of event; last year it was thefirst edition with 75 riders(between amateur and professionals),name's like Nathan Penonzek, RubenAlcantara, Sergio Layos, Javier Ortega, amount others were present. Let us say the last year was a completlysuccess, around 3000 people per day show at the event. The Park is very well situated, just 2Km from beach and night lifepub's. There are also several hotels around the park( and near the beachtoo). The temperature at this time is around 35 degrees!!! For this year this are our plans:- Tree categories, Flatland, Street and Dirt;- All categories will be divide in amateur an professional;- For the pro there will be prize money for the first 5 riders, thefirst 5 amateurs will receive bike parts,clothes, etc;- The street area is around 2400 square meters with all kind of ramps;- The flat area is around 1200 square meters with wood flat;- Dirt will have a drop whit 2,5 meters and some dirt sets (not decidedthe course yet);- There will be concerts at the park followed by a night life;- There will be a area for Bmx/clothes Shops, and food suppliers; - For this year we gonna have a Graffiti contest; - We have planning some shows ofBrake Dance too .Prizes Money(for Professionals Categories; Street, Flat and Dirt); -1º Place -500€ -2º Place -400€ -3º Place -300€ -4º Place -200€ -5º Place -100€ All the inscriptions can be made in local place for the first day or byour official web site.By the end we want to try divulge this event for all the places in Europeand around the world, so if you can replay this emailfor all your friends, shops, Bike Companys, etc; we would be very gratefull. I've read the whole thing now and if by any chance people don't think we'd make it that far i'm gonna steal the van and get there cos that sounds like a good event, in a country (or is it just Lisbon) that has leagalized all drugs.
