Miscelaneous

I think i might have put some of these up a while back but i like em so i'm gonna put em up again. There are a couple from a ride i went on with Joe, Ted, and a whole bunch of guy's from farnbourogh (?) who have some aligance with i3mx.com so i belive. With some crazt pics of Cameron. The photo of someone in a dangerous position on a rail is Tusk from i3mx. What you can't see is how long this rail is in the photo and that he was wearing a helmet. He got it done in the end though, and thats what counts. Someone's posted a photo in the prettyshady.com's photo book thing of Tusk written in blood so i guess he's as loose as he was on that rail most of the time. We were headed for 4th feathers skatepark in Mareylobone (?) and it was closed so we went streetin around and about town... as a consolation?

Sittingbourne
"The mini's have stayed the same, but the spine ramp deck is about three times the depth now, so loadsa room for people and deck tricks! Theres some photos of the street section, no1 shows the new bowled out corner which is super fun, no2's got the new roll-in with a lip on top, box/wallride, quick vert on the left and normal quarter on the right, with a vert wall infront of the box (not shown) and no3 is the new volcanoe/vertwall combo and the new larger spine deck..." - Flip

Westerly-Weather

What a strange day this was. When i began sussing out the riding vs weather situation i stared taking photos of tempestuous sky's. It'd been blowing a gale for a couple of days but it looked drier than the day before so when Matt called me to go out riding in west London i got myself together and took the train up to waterloo where i met up with George and we made our way to Stockwell to meet up with Matt and a bunch of Mancunians and Chester heads.
We all pedaled our way over West through Clapham striaght to the infamous estate that the Northan dudes had tried to session the day before in the rain. It did'nt take long for it to start up again but it was so windy any showers were breif and the wind with the sporadic sunshine dreid the concrete enoughto keep riding. I crashed as soon as we got there but whats new there so mainly milled around watching th others nibble around on the small rails littering the small area we're sessioning. Someone was over icepick grinding up a long low rail and then hopping back over ,I think the guy's name is Loz ,anyway he then feebled up the same 2" wide round rail and over. Lots of little jibs were going on and then we headed over to Wandsworth roundabout where everyone seemed to be able to peg the walls. Someone even icepicked it a couple of times, then whipped the really awkward steep bit of the bank a few times tearing the internals of his freewheel apart in the process, which did'nt seem to phaze him too much. Loz got a sweet 5 on the bank, Burney (i think is the guy who's face i think i recognize from somewhere) did a really nice sprocket to 180 on the wall and then had the most violent crash just as we were about to leave. There was a peice of pretty sodden peice of mdf at the bottom of one of the steeper bits of the bank and one time his wheel spat out from under him sending him head and sholders into the face of the concrete bank...nasty. He picked himself up and his mates got him all patched up and we went on our way back to southbank to meet up with James from Charharrt who they were all staying with. We stopped a couple of times to ride fresh marble or just to look at stuff. When we got to southbank everyone was cold and stiff but i felt like riding a bit and so did everyone else in the end. Mr drinkwater (did my resarch) twisted the 7 a few time dispite having to scoot up them to get speed loz did a fewwhip hops!, Owen and a few of the others were on their front wheels most of the time nosemanualing up the sloped ledge thats there!, and i think i spotted Phil Dolan obviously out doing them all with that front wheel balancing stuff. Good day and nice people dispite the weather!. Cheers guys see you next time.

Epic Meeting
As Lee mentioned the other day, there was a meeting on Tuesday at Epic Skatepark to discuss plans for the park, Homer was there and has the low down. www.bcbmx.co.uk

Almost gone...

Did a few errands around town today, then went to lock my bike up for a third time and noticed this...

Not sure when it was done but it was easily cut half way through, almost got someone there next fix. Probably a similar story behind the bike that some kid has been riding at Dean Lane skatepark lately, paid about £40 for it. Race frame, carbon forks, thompson seat post and profile everything else.

More Competitions

Got another competition running, this time from the people at The Bike Show. A pair of tickets and a pair of trainers are up for grabs. Click here to find out what to do

Greek Fullpipes
Not totally sure of the name who this is off but it's a from an email sent by a guy from Greece about a couple of full pipes he found over there. One is 8 meters in diameter and the other is 15 meters in diameter with the vert starting from 7-8 metres...

More Epic news

There's some changes happening at Epic and Keith the owner is asking for as many ideas as poss. to make something good. Keith's planning a meeting on Tuesday night to discuss any new ideas, if you decide to attend you'll find free entry + some Stella and possibly your ideal ramp set up put into fruition. The choice is yours!
The old spine, volcano, jump box section has now gone to make way for climbing walls, it's not selling out, it's a way pulling more money into the park to prevent closure due to financial difficulties.

Joe's lost roll of film

A mate i hav'nt seen in a while has sent me these photos that he just found, there's only four of them and only one "bmx" pic but i like em. Enjoy. All pics by Joe Medland.

Bristol News / Rumour Mill

New skatepark in Bristol, opened around the end of last month. It's in Withywood, Bristol.

I spoke to Craig Reynolds the other day and he said that it's all go with the new ramp at St George. I think it's a concrete mini ramp, work should be starting soon-ish.

The other new skatepark to be built in the centre of bristol might have hit a set back. They might have found something of historical relevance on the site where it is to be built.

We had one last session at Park Centrral last week, the night before it was changing hands. I think it was changing into a furniture store or something like that, but for some reason they were going to keep the mini ramp in?!

I also heard Matt Sully wants to open a new indoor park in Bristol.

Site Back Up

Just been changing the hosting in the last few days so the sites been down. There's actually enough space now to add new stuff without having to delete something else first.

There's some new photos from the Tag Team Bowl Jam and some updates in the Downloads section.

Here's a few photos dedicated to Knowlhill trails, from the jam last year...
