Bitch Trails

Well it's only taken until the end of June for the first photo from the trails. Parry, table.

Speaking of the trails, last I heard from Stu Clarke was that he was on the set of Ramsey Street, taking photos of the Neighbours cast. Hopefully when he returns from his 2 month Oz visit, the shoulder will be heeled and he can actually get some use out of all the winter digging.

Walter Peringer's site

Someone posted this link to Walter Peringers video site, which i guess is a kind of advert for his video services and has a few exmples of the projects he's done so far. If you do'nt know Walter Peringer is the MAN, and the man behind the Muntiny time well spent dvd that was realeased no that long ago. Which i must say is the most easily watchable bmx vid i've seen in a while, and the music choice is great starting with a paul simon track which sets the tone for the video. This intro and a couple of other vid projects are on the site to download. Its got a wild section from Walter himself, Danny hickerson, Morgan wade, etc etc Go buy it or whatever you wo'nt be dissapointed. http://www.timeofyourlifemedia.com/

Trowbridge Jam

Some details from Matt Eaton about a jam in Trowbridge...

"I'm having a little jam in Trowbridge, Wiltshire on July 31st. It's a straightfoward midi-ramp comp with skateboard in the morning and BMX in the afternoon. We are trying to raise awareness in Trowbride so that we can get a skatepark built, and all proceeds from the Jam will go towards that. So thats the deal, not big cash prizes, no corporate sponsorship, just a fun day out."

The Works + PS2
The Works skatepark in Leeds have hooked up with PlayStation to form the PS2 Works Academy. The Academy is a good chance for skaters / BMXers of all ages to come down and be taught by top pros for 2-hour or day-long sessions. On top of all this, everyone will have the chance to play on broadband enabled PlayStation 2’s and internet-ready PCs in the PS2 lounge, providing a social and educational centre for all levels.

The courses at the PS2 Works Academy are set up in two ways: Two hour courses and all day courses. The former is aimed at learners of all ages to establish basic skills like how to use the ramps and obstacles or how to do basic tricks. The later courses are aimed at the more advanced riders and skaters and cover health and safety, spatial awareness, lines in the park, tricks, demos by coaches, video time, designing t-shirts or skateboards, basic film editing and maintaining of equipment i.e. bikes, boards and blades. The courses can run for 1, 2 or 3 days.

All courses are flexible and are tailored to individual skill levels so people can dip in and out. They can also be tailored to a specific set of targets. All participants are presented with a certificate of achievement at the end of each course.

£10 for 2 hour course / £35 for a day including lunch and certificate. www.theworksskatepark.co.uk
