Urban Games 

Well it almost didn't happen on Sunday, I think a lot of people had given up hope of the rain easing up but somehow it did, everything dried out and the show continued. The dirt was the best thing going this year, loads of good riding on the Saturday and the train comp on Sunday was fun to watch, especially seeing all the French riders pile up and crash on the last jump. More photos once they're sorted out.

Battle Royale 

The second round of the Battle Royale is in Sheffield on August Bank Holiday Weekend. Rules are simple, teams of around 6, spots around the city, prizes and stuff given for standouts. This month sees Nike launch NKE 6.0 in the UK. Designed specifically for young talent who love action sports there is a unique range of functional and durable footwear to choose from no matter what your sport preference is.

As part of the launch and on-going programme, NKE 6.0 has hooked up with Phil Young to recruit a new team who display great talent and potential from a variety of sports including surf, skate, snow, BMX and MTB to become the first NKE 6.0 action sports team.

Through NKE6.0 the team will get a chance to showcase their skills at various events across the UK and at the same time will be given tips and advice on how to improve their skills and fulfil their potential.

The young talent will be taken on trips to try out each others sports sharing their skills with each other so they get experience and build their capabilities across the different action sports.

Who want's free darkroom equiptment? 



I've got quite a bit of random darkroom equipment i've gotta get rid of. Some weird small scale lighting rig thing, a copy stand thing, industrial sized amber safelights ali print wash sink, loads of film developing tanks(35mm and large format) a large format bulk film loader, squegee's etc etc, and a boxs of paper that has lost its ability to hold strong tone so if anyone has a project or something that anyof this stuff might be usefull for ,come get it cos i'm just gona throw it away!.

Decoy vs Bearwood 

Decoy / Movment jam on saturday, Bearwood jam on sunday, couldn't get much different really but both were really good in the own way and both included some form of human pain. The most haggered at Decoy, first time i've smelt and heard burning flash after the branding session. Get well to the guy with the badly broken arm at bearwood.

Mutiny Bikes 

I don't know how many of you are aware but Mutiny is now 50% owned by an English man. With the changes in ownership they're looking to increase the availability of Mutiny products worldwide. I don't know to much about them myself but I do know their getting new prototype frames ready for LV interbike. It looks as though they'll be one of the first manufactures of affordable frame sets with the midsize BB and the latest Eden model should come in at 5.5lb. If your interested they've got a new website up and running with regular updates. Take a look at the fortage of Matt Roe at the now defunct Derby, it's a little on the dark side but you cannot miss the hand plant! http://www.mutinybikes.com

Bearwood Jam and Snickers best trick 

Just thought we'd better stop anyone wanting to go to the Bearwood jam ending up in Kidderminster. Bearwood currently resides in sunny Brum and from what I can gather is not considering moving in a hurry!
Money is up for grabs but I don't think it's gonna be for best trick. There should be money up for highest jump, longest 180 and highest hop and possibly best line. The idea here is fun not watching a bunch of muppets trying to out comp each other

Snickers Best Trick 

Snickers are kicking off their Snickers Best Trick series again for this year, starting off at the Bearwood Jam next week.

Sun 17th July - Bearwood Jam, Lightwoods Park, Kidderminster
Sat 30th July - Evolution, Androssan
Sat 29th - Sun 30th October - Interact, Burnley

Last summer, over 20 Snickers Best Tricks took place around the UK at events including Concrete Carnage, King of the Skate Park, Meanwhile Back at the Skate Park and The Warrington Concrete Summer Jam. This year, Snickers has a larger stash of cash to give away and is committed to making even more of these competitions happen. So if you run a local, established skate/BMX event or you want to get one off the ground, get in touch.

London street riding just got even more dangerous 



7 bombs went off around London this morning and luckily i slept late and did'nt go streetin in town early or i could have ben caught up in the middle of all of the chaos. Fuck pikey terror weve gotta keep an eye out for terrorists eh!.

News Update (lol) 

It's been a long, long time since I've wrote anything on here so I thought better write at least something before Kung cancels my bloggership!

I've been spending a fair amount of time in the South West area recently, If you ever get chance I recommend a visit. Everywhere is full of riders and skaters who don't appear to mind a non local in their presence. Hello to everyone at Plymouth Park Central and Newquay Wooden Waves. I've also heard good thing about Penzance Crete and the bowl at Cambourne. Saltash Crete has had a bit of a makeover to.

There's a jam coming up at Bearwood on 17th July. Check flier for further details.

Money and prizes to be won. Fun to be had. What more do you want? Good weather? - Fuck all to do with me!
