Practical Web Design Magazine. Part II

The thing I find most incredible about the magazine entitled Practical Web Design, aside from all the features detailed below is the simple fact that the mag doesn't appear to have it's own in-house web site! Incredible when you consider all the web design experts that work there. If I'm wrong please let me know.

It's a bit like Kung not owning a BMX, or Enzo Ferrari not being interested in red sport cars.

Practical Web Design Magazine.

I must say that it's a great honour to be involved with a web site which has recently won the prestigious accolade of being awarded the 'practical Web Design site of the month'.

For those of you that are not aware (as was I). Practical Web Design is the number one magazine for web building tutorials.

Every issue you can develop your design skills with more than 60 pages of practical projects, covering CSS, Dreamweaver, Flash, Fireworks, HTML, Photoshop, PHP, MySQL, and more, all brought to you by top designers. (You'll also get all the necessary files to follow these projects on your free CD-ROM.)

As well as great tutorials, Practical Web Design features readers sites, news, reviews, the most innovative new sites, and our exclusive Site Build-Off section, where four pro designers take on a brief of our choosing every month.

Practical Web Design also comes with a free CD-ROM, featuring great software, free templates, an hour of exclusive Lynda.com video lessons, and 120 minutes of web design podcasts IN EVERY ISSUE!

asbo's and photos

Firstly here are some photographs from last night (13th) Glastonbury skate park. was a awesome session. and the drive back was a laugh. Today the plan was for mike to come to mine for 10 then go riding somewhere.. anyway we made the decision to go to Gillingham maybe spelt wrong. it is near Wincanton and Yeovil. we ended up going the long way round. We had just got to the skate park 70miles later and it started to rain. The park has 1/4 flat bank 1/4 either end this pretty big volcano/jump box thing a drive way and a real small spine after that we were going to go ride Wincanton park then back to Glastonbury if we had time. we ended up sitting in the Somerfields car park for a while hoping the rain would pass over. it didn’t..

We made are way back to the skate park, it’s opposite a school. the school looked real new. We thought we may have been able to salvage some of the day. I have watched a fair few bmx dvds and video's and this school is prob the next best thing to a American style school you see on roadfools etc. It had rails everywhere ledge's and steps. and some grass banks.

Hopefully go back there when it isn’t raining after getting asked to leave the school we went back to good old Highbridge skate park. by this point we were both pretty livid because of the weather. it hadn’t rained in Burnham. anyway. as soon as we went in the skate park we started to get shit off the local chav's. I wish I new what they thought they were. I think there was around 8 of them sat on the grind box. ages going from 14-at least 22 they had white lighting of course and were getting pretty loose then on the jump box. if you call it that were about 8 girls who were about 16. and we just got pure grief and we didn’t even say anything to them. I wish when I was 15 I was hanging out like they were. I honestly couldn’t beleave it. I think they need a copper down there handing out asbo’s.

I have finally sorted out a new camera.

My current gear includes a Nikon d70s, Nikon 10.5 fisheye, sigma 100-300 f4, Nikon 1.8 50mm lens, sigma 17-35. Some cokin filters and a Nikon flash.
Black Country BMX ring leader, Homer, has fired back up the old Passion BMX website. The latest project is a downloadable photo magazine, see the site for more. While on the subject of self promotion, www.aversionbmx.co.uk has t-shirts for sale.

The Deaner

Dean Lane skatepark is a weird old place, there is generally something strange going on whenever you go there, like that weird photo shoot Tom saw further down the news page. Yesterday there was some filming going on with a Nissan Skyline with camera gear strapped on the bonnet. There's now a concrete wall ride appeared, DLH supplied.

Yo!

Its soo cold i'm not even gonna try riding so i've gone and got me my own blogspot address so i can put as much of the non bmx photo's as i like on the net and not get Adi on my case about macro shots of lucious wet shiny fruit stuff bring down the standard of random. I gave it a suitably cheesy name too and i've just dumped most of the last months spewings of my fuji on there. I would put a riding shot here to tease you in but somehow i've messed up hello and blogger wo'nt have it so Click here to get there. If anyone has any tricks for pre foucusing shitty cheap digi cameras in the dark contact me through my blogspot, if you can.
