Murdermile mix 06

Here's Owain's little edit from when he was living down here in the metropolis.

Attila off the feild jam

Its all a little hazy but the jam was amazing. I did'nt ride just trecked it up there on the train and bumped into the swarm. Riding through the city centre getting chased by police on foot was good fun and lots of good spots, riding, crashes, air horns and megaphones. Cleggy managed to control the heard and video the whole thing.. Oh and there were some video's premiered but i cant remember much about that, just that i ended up body surfing in the gutter's then throwing up alot. Cheers to my baby sitters.
Ive put my nibble camera pics up ere.

"Is there a harmfull kindred spirit that helps a lazy bigbird stay on Sesame street and keeps the real monkeys from taking over monkey magic?. I hope i catch it red handed and fucking rip its balls off".

It's the attila street jam this weekend. I havnt sorted how im getting there yet if i am. I've done something silly to my sholder so i cant even get up a kerb.

Bensons article on our trip to Madrid earlier this year is in the new ride uk. I really liked it but then i was there and its helping get rid of that trapped feeling im getting from not being able to blast around on my bike.

Here's Alex Senkus tucking of a the narrow edge of a curved bench we tipped and wedged up in woolwich.

Studley Skatepark
I was driving through my home village on the weekend and noticed that the new skatepark has been built. Ok, so it might be an outdoor metal park, but it means there is now one other thing to do other that go to the pub.

Decoy Jam
I didn't make it down to this but Paul Dog sent me a few of his photos.

RED BULL EMPIRE OF DIRT

EVENT CANCELLED DUE TO SERIOUS DAMAGE TO COURSE BY HEAVY RAIN

RED BULL EMPIRE OF DIRT
15- 16th June, 2007
Newton Abbot, Devon, England

www.myspace.com/redbullempireofdirt

Newton Abbot, 15th June, 3pm - Kye Forte and organisers of Red Bull Empire
of Dirt, are incredibly disappointed to announce that the event has had to
be completely cancelled for 2007.

Unusually heavy rain throughout Thursday night, and most of Friday, has
damaged the course so extensively, that the hard working course crew will
be unable to complete repairs in time.

Naturally, everyone involved, including Kye, Red Bull, event crew, and of
course the world class riders, who have travelled from far and wide, are
very disappointed. However, spirits are high, as planning for Red Bull
Empire of Dirt 2008 has already begun!

Red Bull Empire of Dirt, the worlds™ first BMX DIRT SLOPESTYLE contest, is
the brainchild of Kye Forte, from Newton Abbot, and combines influences
from each of the BMX styles, to create one unholy new discipline guaranteed
to challenge the very best on the planet.

Many people have asked me how to replace the bearings or have some problem with their hub after fidding with it and this article that Profile Racing have put up on thier site will be a great help to you. Just dont loose any of the bits and make sure you put it all back in the right order. If you get frustated trying to fit youre cranks dont bother servicing yur hub yourself, , get your bmx employee at the bikeshop to do it for you. Then its thier fault if something gets lost or crushed in the process.
Its really not that hard but i know impaitent you can get when you wanna get out and ride. Here's the link and dont say i did'nt warn you..
Exploded view from Profile europe.
Ive justnoticed that that pdf is of the old studded axle type of ss hub so unless you've got one of those probebly best to ignore that.

Bristol Gig

Just a reminder of the gig at Motion skatepark this weekend.

Life in the Van

Ok i did the maths i reacon we spent about 80 hours in the back of this van on a matteress. It was hot it was COLD. weird night sleeps but it was amazing.

well that is it for the america photos i am sure i have made you all very bored. It was AMAZINg the trip so so good honestly. Just a few thank you's. Thanks to Eastpak and Redull, Dario and all of his family. Silva for covering the bill in Osaka. Zak Earley and his Dad for everything. Sleeper for driving. Burger's parents for the donuts. Mike and Co at FAT TRAX best bike shop in MA. Vic at circuit in Providence. The dude who found ben pantings suit case in New Jersey. The ladie who put up with us at the truck stop in PA. Everyone at the FLOW. Everyone at RYE airfield.

80 bucks better off

Ok Ross Dummet new about our roadtrip for a while he even booked his flight with loads of time to save money. he took 150 quid for a 11 day roadtrip and he got sacked from his job. I dont think ross ate that much and he borrowed money and got by. We payed ross 80 bucks to jump off the tree fully clothed. he only had one pair of jeans. the night before he sat in piss at a house party in state collage

Big Brother

DAY 10

DAY 10 we slept pretty much all day, Went to the warehouse for the final session. what a amazing session i only took one riding photo of mike, and i used the rest of my HP5 up before we had to pack to go home.

DAY 9

DAY 8 Rye Airfield New Hampshire. YES this was amazing. after seing it on roadfools 14 i always thought it would be amazing to ride that park, it was. Thanks to Rye for letting us ride for free and thanks to zak and his dad again for making us feel welcome. That park is unreal. i found it so hard on this trip to ride and take photos. Some amazing stuff happend there and i didnt catch it, We got home real late that night around 3.

DAY 8

DAY 8 we drove to Rhode Island to visit vic's bmx shop called "circuit" it was awesome. Vic has just started his shop and we got there and it had only been open a few days. They had a Photographic Expo outside with some photographs by jeff allen, as well as some other real good photographers. it was a good day. that night we rode ramp farm. Again thanks to burger for letting us go there! that park is unreal i can not explane to you how cool a scene it is there.

DAY 7

DAY 7 we woke up at sleepers house in MA i have no idea what the town was called. after a pretty ropey nights sleep the plan was to hit up New York but we left it late we all over slept and ben panting had to straighten his hair. anyway. we went to the mall then headed back to ride this ditch/skatepark. it use to be a ditch then they made it like a skatepark. this thing was the worse but wow we had another amazing session. ben panting's 180 was the best. the transition is horrific and it was so good. Sleeper again doing another 1 off. that rail hop was the best.

Mutiny Hubbuddy 2.0

Over the last few months Mutiny have been working on a lighter version and just received samples for testing. They came out at 91 grams (3.2 oz). There are quite a few changers to this from O.G hub buddy the biggest being the new shape, this will push whatever you are grinding towards the peg and for riders who do not run pegs the small flat section should give a little more to grind on. If all goes well these will be out before Christmas.

They have also just updated the news with a blog style entry from Nikki Croft one of our bro team riders.

DAY 6

DAY 6 Ok i was going to leave it but i was looking through and day 6 wasnt to big a deal so i thought i would put it up.

We rode The Flow voted the best indoor skatepark by Ride US and WOW this place was massive. honestly. jump box's wall rides, Spine mini. Huge Street course massive wall rides. Foam pit. I could have spent 2 days there. On reflection i think we should have but it was cool anyway. i rode a lot and only took a few photos. these are the best ones i took from the day. Sorry for the out of focus photo of scott. Again thanks to the guys at the flow for making us feel so welcome. If you are reading this and planning on going to america check out the flow. Sleeper did his first of the trip one off. riding across the top of this 1/4 pipe. its hard to explane and we have no footage or photos but it was unreal. That day ben panting didnt even ride! i couldnt beleave it. From what i here he was doing a face pac or getting a perm, not to sure. Ross Dummet went for a night out in Columbus with a guy called Harry real nice dude i heard. Scott Hamlin signed some autographs for the locals and we headed off.
We rode the park from when it opend till it shut. Everyone was so pumped on that ride. We left Ohio at 10 and started the HUGE drive back to New York City this drive was nuts. sleeping in the back of a van on half a mattress. I had gotten use to this by now. The IPOD is the best invention every. I can remember now listing to Lucero and Plain white t's whilst driving all night. I didnt sleep much. There were some points in the morning when i rode up front that i wish i had taken some photos we drove through some amazing country side it was so good. nothing in england can compare ! I would like to say now that as you have read my English is shocking. .... i may do day 7 ...

DAY 5

DAY 5 Columbus Ohio. after a huge drive from PA to Ohio we arrived at 3.35 in the morning. We booked in to the holiday inn and went to sleep. After a good nights sleep!! we woke up and headed to The Flow. It was shut!! DAMN! We stopped off in Walmart and got a Soinic then headed back to the hotel. We arranged another nights stay then went and rode street in downtown Columbus. Columbus is a real nice place so clean. We met up with these ghetto kids on old school bmx bikes and they lead us to this skatepark which was known as Dodge skatepark we had to ride through th ghetto to get to it but we had another amazing session. I witness a dude break his arm it was wild thankfully it wasnt anyone to do with us. The park rode real well. Adam did the best turndown. It was a pretty big gap. We left the park and started to ride street, whilst avoiding the rain lance did his first up rail grind which was rad. After leaving that spot we got caught for j walking. We said that you can do it in England and the cops just laughed then let us go. We went out for a Tacho Bell that night and drove past a crime scene. Someone had been shot in the face a few blocks down from us that day. Tacho Bell is HORRID i honestly cant explane how rank that stuff is. i am going to leave it as that for the time being. Do 6-11 in a few days time.

DAY 4

DAY 4 was good. We woke up after a pretty nuts night in State Collage. We stayed at a girls house that dario knows from woodward. They had a house party which was a bit strange.. I was a grandad and went to bed around 2. the police turned up and theatend to search everyone. We woke up and rode this weird outdoor park. Then drove to Woodward to see if we could ride. We tryed our best to get a ride thanks to mike spinner and the ladie who i cant remember for seeing if we could ride. We didnt get a ride but it was cool to visit the place. Deff going to make the effort to get over there the end of this year or more prob next year. We took the short drive from woodward to the rope swing which is in the sticks. We had a good session there i have the sequence of Ross Dummet Jumping in fully clothed. i will sort it and put it up soon. The party was quite good. If anyone wants some tips on how to get in with the american women, just ask scott hamlin. his top tip is wait till they are asleep......for more info add him on interbmx and ask.

DAY 3 - Franklin D. Roosevelt

DAY 3 - Assuming the Presidency at the depth of the Great Depression, Franklin D. Roosevelt helped the American people regain faith in themselves. He brought hope as he promised prompt, vigorous action, and asserted in his Inaugural Address, "the only thing we have to fear is fear itself."

There you go FDR. wow i dont really need to say much about it. hopefully the pictures and the posts i did a while ago will sum up how good that place is

DAY 2

DAY 2 was WILD wow. ok so we wake up and we load everything up and start the drive from springfield MA to the incline club in NJ which is scotty cranmers park. It was either this or Hackets Town in NJ it was a hard choice but we opted for incline. The drive was ok intil we got to New York it took is around 3 hours to drive 10 miles the trafic was wild once we had passed New York the drive wasnt that bad. We arrived at Incline Club at 9 and they were shutting at 10 they wouldnt even let me take photographs i rode for a bit then went to take photos and they were like we are shutting now, We explaned are situation and they wouldnt even meet us half way. It was a bit of a shame to be honest. After a 9 hour drive to get to the park and they only let you ride for a hour. It all went wrong from that point. We headed back from incline club to find somewhere to stay we pulled in to this real flash hotel and these 2 homies pulled up in there S.U.V said that all of our luggage was down the high way. it turned out that sleeper hadnt locked the u haul properly and everyones luggage was down the high way. SH*T as you can imagin we were worried. Sleeper and i took the truck around and did the route again. we found some stuff and everyone else were on there bikes looking for stuff. Ben Panting lost EVERYTHING so did Dario. That night we found this really bad motel in new jersey WOW i have never been in such a hole in my life. it was 70 bucks for the night the bed had this real thin sheet on the place stank. it was like something off a movie. We got to sleep real late that night. around 2 then got up at 5.30 for the drive to FDR in PA

DAY 1

DAY 1 - SPRINGFIELD MA. After a 7 hour flight it was amazing to touch down at the airport after being intergated we walked down to get our luggage. We walked around the corner and were met by Dario and Sleeper. what an amazing feeling i was pretty tired buy this point but it was so good. We loaded the U HAUL up and then all got in to the back of the van. 2 hours later we turned up and Dario's house. On the way we stopped off for a pizza and headed back where we met up with Garrett. we unpacked then went to ride the warehouse (ramp farm) thanks to everyone for letting us ride! had such a good session and met up with the man that was zak earley thanks so much to his dad for getting us mountain dew, redbull, orio's everything. We had a good session but i was falling asleep in the skatepark as was everyone one. but i think you will all agree that it was a amazing session? that night we headed back to darios and got some sleep.

DAY 0 - LOOSE YOUR SHIT

Day 0 we arrived at the hotel. Good times. Certain people went in to london for the night and others spent the time in the gjm. I tell you i didnt sleep that night i was so pumped and i can pretty much say that for everyone else. Scott Hamlin got dealt with good and proper that night.
