Welcome to the new Skatepark Manager Andrew Chiles

Redditch Wheels Project would like to welcome Andrew Chiles the new Skatepark manager who joined the team recently and is already getting to grips with the skatepark. His job is to over see the general running of the Skatepark as well as putting on events. Andy has brought with him some good experience in running a Surf Competition as part of the UK National Surf Championships, held at Challaborough Beach, Devon, incorporating Organisation, Judging and Health and Safety of Competitors, Staff and Spectators. He also has experience in woodworking, DIY and general maintenance to add towards keeping the park in good working order.
He’s a very keen alternative sports enthusiast and participates in various sports such as Surfing, Snowboarding, Skydiving, Longboard Skateboarding, Skiing, Sailing, Wakeboarding, Golf, Sub-aqua Diving, Yoga and Hacky-sack. He has taken instructing courses in Surfing and Snowboarding and is a qualified Open Water Diver and Freefall Skydiver.
He has travelled around the world and spent a year after graduating seeing different people and cultures in Asia, Australasia, Northern, Central and South America, also travelled throughout Europe following his sporting interests. He spent the summer of 2002 travelling through North America making a film titled “Across America”,
Andy has graduated from the University of Plymouth
With a BSc (hons) Surf Science and Technology, Surf recreation Oceanography and Business Studies were his main studies.
