We will be open for the 2006 season starting 12 noon Sunday 23rd April.

This season we will be open seven days a week with later opening hours.

On Saturday 22nd April we will be clearing up the rubbish and clearing out the lock up ready to open with help from the Probation Service.

This season there will be Skate and BMX events Spam Jam and Relax BMX Jam with the possibility of a Mountain bike park competition at dates to be confirmed.
We have two new ramps in place a micro ramp and a new multi directional jump box and street course alterations to suit thanks to a grant from the Local Network Fund of Community First. We will also be continuing resurfacing and changing the park also.
New for this year we will be offering free skateboard and BMX bike hire for those who want to try Skateboarding and BMX for the first time as well as free safety equipment.

The cost will be £1.50 Monday to Friday term time, £3.00 Saturday, Sunday and school holidays there will also be a £25.00 -4 week pass. Remember we are a charity and we need money to keep us going, pay our bills, repair and build new ramps. Your donations are appreciated.

Mon to Fri term time 4pm - 9pm

There will be a free day once a week for Arrow Vale Pupils at a date to be confirmed this is thanks to the Redditch School Sport Partnership who have paid for this.

Redditch Wheels Project is the charity that manages and created Redditch Skatepark, because it is said there is little for young people to do in Redditch. Apart from the paid staff who staff the skatepark all those involved in keeping this skatepark going, do it for nothing, only reason being so you can have a great place to skate and ride, so in the meantime look after it and respect what people are doing for you and what you have got here.

Sorry for the delay this year as we have been waiting for the funds to employ paid staff, which are now in place, as please understand fundraising is hard work and can take a long time.

Redditch Wheels Project

We require casual paid staff to supervise the skatepark and become part of the charity who is helping the local community by managing Redditch Skatepark. No experience necessary, but experience of dealing with people in a customer service environment, maintenance, administration and DIY or woodwork would be an advantage. This job involves ensuring the health and safety of people using the skatepark enforcing the rules, dealing with entry fees, supervising volunteers, maintenance, event-staffing, administration, dealing with occasional accidents and emergencies. The ideal person will also demonstrate they are self-motivated, assertive, trustworthy, reliable and have ability to generate income. You will also be need to be 18 or over. A Criminal Record Breaux (CRB) check will also be a requirement of this post.

An understanding of skateboarding and BMX is helpful but not necessary, as full training will be provided with first aid, health and safety and potential for other further learning courses.

HOURS / DAYS
Monday to Friday 4pm till 8pm possibly extra hours
Saturday Sunday and school holidays 12 pm to 8pm possible extra hours
Hours are subject to weather and light permitting.
