Are You Christmas Shopping Online?

With Christmas fast approaching and the “credit crunch” beginning to bite, we know that raising money for Redditch Wheels Project Skatepark charity is not necessarily a priority for you.

However, we do have a solution to this problem, from which we can all benefit.

Our fundraising website – www.SimpleFundraising.co.uk/2894 - is full of special links to most of the UK’s major retailers, plus a plethora of specialist online shops and companies.

Many of these companies – including such names as Toys R Us, Early Learning Centre, Play.com, Amazon, HMV, Marks & Spencer, Woolworths, and Dixons – are offering a variety of discounts, bulk buy savings, sale prices and free or reduced delivery for online purchases.

By clicking on the links on our fundraising web page to these retailers, not only will you be benefiting from the best online prices available, and their associated promotions, but these retailers have promised to give us a donation for each transaction that you make.

However, the retailers can only give us our donation is you use the special links that are on a fundraising web page. If you go to the retailer directly, they will not be able to make their donation to us.

Not only does shopping online ensure that you get the best possible prices, it also means that your purchases can be delivered to your door, saving you time, hassle and petrol by battling with the crowds at your local shopping centre.

Furthermore, for every £1 that you spend when using the links on our web page, the retailers will give us a donation out of their own profits – you will not be charged a single penny extra for items that you buy.

Our fundraising web page represents one of those truly unique win-win situations for everybody involved – you get the best prices available, with the minimum of hassle and at the same time, you will be helping us to raise money.

So please, for your Christmas shopping, visit our fundraising web page – www.SimpleFundraising.co.uk/2894 and keep using our special links to the online retailers to purchase your Christmas gifts and even make it your home page so you can remember to support us.

Redditch Wheels Project Charity involves hundreds of young people every year in BMX, Inline Skating and Skateboarding, ramp building and staging events at one of the U.Ks best Skateparks as an alternative to antisocial behaviour. We give young people somewhere to go and something to do which has a positive impact on the community.

Just copy the link www.simplefundraising.co.uk/2894 and paste it in your web browser

Thank you for your support

SK808 Results

Thanks to everyone who turned out for SK808. Managed to dodge the showers and eventually pull off the event. See the results below.

Matchborough Centre Bus Shelter Project

This community project was the brainchild of Councillor Juliet Brunner, The Matchborough Youth Forum, Arrow Vale High School, the Police and Peter Hill of the Councils Antisocial Behaviour team.

The project gave local young people a chance to celebrate all what is good and important to them in Matchborough, the estate where the Skatepark is located, visually by designing a mural for the two bus stops in Matchborough centre. Its a great honor as if you look closely that they have included a BMX bike and Skateboarders all in a detailed backdrop of the skatepark where you can see the wall ride, the jump box and the pyramid.

Even it may be assumed bus shelters are prone to vandalism, its made of very tough stuff and they have replacement graphics on hand just in case.

The new bus stops were opened by the Rt Hon Jacqui Smith Home secretary and our MP on 16th May 08.

Please do have a look if you are about in this area. This really is showing young people in positive light in the area. I would like to personally thank everyone involved for including the Skatepark as it makes our efforts all the more worthwhile know that what we do at the skatepark is appreciated.
