Dorchester Skatepark Opening Jam
This weekend, there is an opening jam at the new concrete park in Dorchester, definitely looks worth a visit to me.
Redditch skatepark jam
Some info from Nik Ford on next months jam at Redditch: “The jam will have a pro/rookie spine/mini comp and pro\rookie street plus highest hop and air, ledge jam and a special Man of the Match award for someone who is killin’ it. Wether it is a pro doing mad loops and spins or some young ripper that is clearly pushing himself. Good times to be had for sure!”
Spooky Jam at Motion
Spooky jam this saturday at motion. Park will be re-opening after it’s summer night club exodus and ramp overhaul.
P5 Halloween Jam
The guys at P5 have organised a Halloween street jam this Friday in Trowbridge. Don’t forget your fancy dress.
This weekend
Two jams this weekend. Weymouth skatepark are having a jam tomorrow and the trails jam at saltash has been moved forward to Sunday due to the good weather.
Saltash Trails Jam postponed
Due to the heavy rain the jam has postponed until the 4th and 5th of October.
PROJECT THREE SIXTY
Took place on Saturday down by Lloyds in Bristol. Cam Hardy took the win, Craig Stevens 2nd and Colum Walshe was 3rd.
Murray Jam and T shirt
Was another great jam at Alianos, good weathe, good riding and £6000 raised. Might have some photos when I get my medium format shots scanned.
As well as having a bunch of photos from the day, Segment have released this limited edition t shirt.
The Stephen Murray Stay Strong tee is available through the Segment Online store @ £20 with Free P&P. All funds go towards the Stephen Murray Family Fund.

Ride it summer jam
At august 9th in Jurmala,Dubultu beach (Latvia) a competition RIDE IT SUMMER JAM 08 took place. These competition was the largest in East Europe and really - beach had never seen something like this.
A new skatepark was built specially for the event. BMX, skateboard, inline and MTB competition took place there. In the see there was kite and wake competition too.

More than 3000 people came to watch this event.
The worst thing was that the rain came down 4 time but the jam organisers got park dry out in few minutes and the competition started.
This competition was a qualification for Baltic riders for RIDE IT WINTER JAM 09, who will take place in Riga (Latvia, January 31th).
Some riders from other countries wanted to come, RIDE IT WINTER JAM 08 winner Michael Beran (CZE), but Michael broke his arm one day before the competition and he had to get a surgerry. The riders from Russia couldn`t come, because they hadn`t their visas in the time..
The riders from Germany had the most terrible experience, because their bags with their bikes and all clothes got lost at the airport.. So They arrived without bikes and clean clothes..they get their stuff one day after event.
In the BMX group was a real competition between Baltic riders.
That doesnt change the quality of the show. And as in Latvia - the people screamed from the tribines and cheared up the riders

The afterparty was amazing - beautiful girls, a crowd of people and everybody had fun
And there was HOT in the afterparty (really hot),because the club had so much people in it the first time :)..

RIDE IT WINTER JAM will take place in Riga - the hall of Kipsala (one of the the largest halls in Latvia).There will be built a new skatepark and everybody who will ride is invited. More info late in www.jam.lv/eng/

SOS Jam Stratford Skatepark
Nik Ford is organising a jam at Stratford-on-Avon skatepark. The park is being neglected by the council so the plan is to show them how used the park is and hopefully raise some money towards re surfacing the place. The jam is on Sunday 3rd August and its a bmx/skateboard jam with a £5 entry fee.

The 2008 Stay Strong Stephen Murray Trails Benefit Jam @ Alianos Trails. This is how nuts it looked last year…
After the overwhelming success of last year’s Benefit Jam for Stephen Murray, we’d like to invite everyone back to Alianos trails on Saturday August 30th 2008. As the one year anniversary of Stephen’s accident has just passed, the whole BMX community is invited to come along and ride some of the best trails in the UK and help raise some much needed money for Stephen and his family.
The venue is Aliano’s trails which are normally on an invite only basis, but for one day only (Saturday August 30th, 12 - 6pm), these trails will be open to anyone and everyone. This is the place where Stephen first started to ride trails over ten years ago and are considered to be one of the top trail spots in the UK. The after Jam Party will take place at The Marrs Bar in Worcester from 8pm til late.
So, what you waiting for? Trails, music, raffle, prizes, good times for good causes. Get a crew together and head to Worcester on August 30th, its gonna be special…
